If you have a school-aged boy or girl around the house who just loves horses then here is a good old movie to get for them. The movie is titled The Red Fury

It’s set in the West back when automobiles were just beginning to replace horses and it’s about an American Indian boy who becomes separated from his family and is taken in and cared for by a widower who is a rancher and horse trainer. This movie has a good, wholesome, story about growing up and about taking responsibility for the consequences of our actions. It doesn’t get preachy and it doesn’t talk down to kids. It just tells its simple story. That, plus the fine horses that are are shown as a natural part of life make this movie worthwhile.
